As soon as my camera arrives I'm going to be doing video tutorials and reviews there as well.
Today I'm going to be doing a review on something I use every day. It's an absolutely essential part of my makeup kit, and what's more, as well as making you look better, it can actually improve the health of your skin. Interested? Keep reading!

So I got this item about a month ago at a local craft fair for £8 (it was an ex-tester, hardly used, but the lady assured me she'd cleaned it hygenically, and I did a bit of my own cleaning at home as well). It was pretty much an impulse buy and in fact I was on the verge of leaving it there and walking away until the lady told me they normally retail for £23. Needless to say, that sold it to me :)It has five colours, a purple/lilac (for yellow areas- their website says it can also be used as a eyeshadow base), a yellow (for undereye circles and freckles), a green (for spots, sunburn, rosacea and other blemishes), and two skintone colours, a peach (they describe it as a light beige) and a beige.
The consistency is really creamy and easy to apply, but it doesn't feel too heavy on your skin which I really like. Under foundation or even on its own it's impossible to tell that it's there.
I can't really comment on the purple- I don't have any yellow areas and I've only used it twice as an eyeshadow base for when I do purple looks. It didn't crease after about eight hours of wearing and it made my purple shadows look a bit more vibrant, so I suppose it must be good. If you're only thinking of buying this for the base however, spend your money elsewhere- there's so many other products you can get that would probably do a better job for less.
Lately, as the weather's gotten warmer, I've broken out :( but this concealer wheel in the green is all that I reach for now when I have spots. I was slightly worried about looking like the Wicked Witch of the West, warty nose and all, but the colour's absolutely perfect for covering spots and I also use it on the side of my nose as I can get quite red there throughout the day. Under foundation it's impossible to tell that it's there and it'll stay put throughout the day.
The yellow is my favouritist favourite product at the moment for my undereye circles! This, when lightly dabbed on with my ring finger will completely neutralise my bags. I have to use another concealer over the top to hide the yellow still remaining (if you had very dark bags you could probably just use the yellow) but the coverage is so much better with the yellow underneath. I used to use Boots 17 Hide & Chic Eye Brightening concealer (in Light Rose) over the top but the other day I decided to see what it would be like with the peachy colour over the top.
It was freaking AMAZING!! My dark circles were the most invisible they have EVER been! I can't say how long it would last because I only wore in the evening going out for dinner for about 4 hours and it wasn't perfect at the end of the that but it wasn't cakey and there was still a great amount of coverage there.
I haven't used the darker colour because it's too dark for my skin tone (NW15 at Mac, Ivory pretty much everywhere else) but I'd imagine it'd be pretty much like the paler one but for more tan people.
The colours all mix really well together so you can create the perfect look for your skintone.
But how is it good for your skin? Er... I only know what I looked up on the internet so I'm hardly an expert but this is what I've read:
"The possible benefits from the use of aloe vera gel and juice include:
1. May help sooth skin injured by burns, irritations, cuts and insect bites.
2. May help moisturize and soften the skin.
3. May help speed the healing of skin wounds, burns and other injuries
4. May help (when taken internally)with constipation, diarrhea and other intestinal problems.
5. May speed and improve general healing when taken internally.
6. May relieve itching and swelling of irritated skin.
7. May help kill fungus and bacteria.
8. May improve the effectiveness of sun screen products"
Hopefully no-one's going to eat this but if you do you may heal better according to the above!
And finally an extract from their official site- 'Aloe vera gel is the primary ingredient, not just a splash.'
The lady who sold me this told me that because of the aloe vera in this it will expire in FOUR years time. So if you don't use it much it's worth a buy because you'll still get four years use out of it.
So I've been raving about this for ages (probably too long!) and I WOULD recommend getting it but it might be a bit expensive for a lot of people- I love it for the £8 I paid for it but I'm not sure I'd repurchase at the full price even though you do get a lot of product for your money as the wells of product are quite deep.
Here's a link to their offical promo information for this if anyone wants that: https://gallery.foreverliving.com/gallery/FLP/download/products/184_primary.pdf
